A wonderful turquoise and pearl chain from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This relatively long chain necklace is comprised of sections of 14kt yellow gold chain which connects between?an alternating pattern of turquoise cabochon links and natural Mississippi River pearls. The bezel set natural turquoise displays wonderful shades of blue and green, speckled with?brown mineral veins creating a rich marbled appearance. The Mississippi River pearls are riveted to the chain and?vary slightly in size and shape, displaying a wonderful creamy white color and high surface luster. Dangling from the?center of the chain is a watch swivel clasp (stamped "14K" inside), making?it easy to double the chain for a layered look, or to hang a complimentary pendant or locket if desired. A very versatile piece, this wonderful chain is perfect for everyday wear,?and would delight any turquoise or pearl lover!
Measurements: The entire length of the chain measures approximately 48" long. The watch swivel clasp hangs 7/8" long at the center. The turquoise links?measure about 3/8" long, 1/4" wide, and slightly less than 1/4" thick. The natural pearls vary?slightly in size and shape but on average they?measure similar in size to the turquoise links.?
Condition: The overall condition of the necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the yellow gold chain. The?turquoise?cabochons and natural pearls are intact and?securely set. The swivel watch clasp is intact and is in good working condition.?
